Ministry of Crab is a Sri Lankan Crab – Centric Restaurant that was established in 2011 by Sri Lanka’s most renowned Chef/Restaurateur Dharshan Munidasa, together with Sri Lankan cricketing legends Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardena, envisioning the culinary homecoming of the Sri Lankan Mud Crab.

 Ministry of Crab, Colombo has become a must-visit dining destination for many travelers visiting Sri Lanka. The restaurant served 100,000 guests in the year 2018 accounting for 5% of 2 million tourist arrivals that year. Ministry of Crab has the distinction of being listed on the prestigious ‘Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants’ list consecutively for 8 years from 2015 – 2022.

It was the first Sri Lankan Food & Beverage brand to go international, with restaurants in Singapore, Shanghai, Chengdu, Maldives, Mumbai, Bangkok and soon to be opened in Melbourne.

MOC Restaurants Pte. Ltd is a company that has been established to own and operate Ministry of Crab brand restaurants in Singapore. These restaurants will serve Sri Lankan Mud Crabs and Freshwater Prawns from Sri Lanka, in a variety of signature flavours.
